Profile

Clare has a thriving practice specialising in family and crime.  She is a member of the Chambers family group.

She is instructed on a wide range of family law matters, with a particular interest in public and private law children work. She regularly appears in care proceedings acting on behalf of local authorities and parents.

She has experience in cases involving domestic violence, contact and residence applications as well as a strong ancillary relief practice.

Clare also maintains a substantial criminal practice. She advises and appears in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. She accepts instructions from both prosecution and defence.

Prior to joining Chambers, she served as a Captain with the Army Legal Services. During this time, she acted as a prosecutor at Courts Martial and an advisor to the Army at home and on operations. Her service included tours across the UK, in Cyprus and in Basra, Iraq.

Building upon this experience she is developing a niche practice defending members of the Armed Services at Courts Martial.
