Practice Profile:
Lubna has a busy practice almost exclusively in family law.
Her primary area of practice is Public and Private Family Law relating to children. She has extensive experience in this field representing Local Authorities, parents and guardians at all levels including the Court of Appeal. Her experience includes cases involving physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. She has particular expertise and interest in public law matters involving non-accidental injury.
With regard to private family law, Lubna has particular experience of residence and contact applications involving issues of serious domestic violence and implacable hostility.
Lubna also practices in Criminal Law. Again she has experience at all levels, including the Court of Appeal. She has acted for both prosecuting authorities and defence solicitors. She has experience of multi-handed, lengthy and complicated matters in this field.
In addition to understanding that careful preparation, attention to detail and objectivity are the key to a successful advocate, she appreciates that good client care skills, in particular the ability to empathise and ensure that the client has confidence in their advocate, are equally important.
